I’m sitting at a stoplight and I look over and this guy is cracking – pulling – you could almost see his back. That is not good. Public service announcement: if you can yank on your head so hard that you can cause your own neck to crack, there’s probably something that needs attention. We shouldn’t be able to crack our own necks. I have 200k in school loans and I don’t crack my own neck. I’m pretty good at this, and I still don’t do it to myself. Let a professional. If there’s a spot that’s stuck, and you just yank on all the spots, the spot that’s stuck is gonna stay stuck. The spots that aren’t stuck are gonna give you extra cavitation, so you get this endorphin response and it feels good for a minute but then it comes back. And so you crack it again, and you crack it again, and the instability of it creates long term affects like arthritis. And then if you develop yourself a bone spur in an arthritic neck, I can’t fix it anymore. Then it’s gotta be surgical. And nobody wants that. So if you turn your head and it cracks or if you grab it and you yank it and it cracks, call your chiropractor. Stop doing that.
