What is massage therapy?

Massage is defined as the rubbing and kneading of muscles and joints of the body and hands as a means of relieving tension and pain and stimulate circulation. Massage techniques can vary from light stroking to deep pressure.

Why offer massage therapy with chiropractic care?

Chiropractic care, when combined with the benefits massage therapy, can be more effective and longer lasting than chiropractic alone. When subluxation, or misalignment of bones, joints, and vertebra occurs, the muscles become tense. Massage therapy can aid in the reduction of muscle tension, stress, and pain and allow the manipulation of the musculoskeletal system to occur much more easily.

I don't do social media but I wanted to send a note of thanks to Julia for the great massages that help make life more comfortable and enjoyable for days beyond the actual massage. Julia cares about people and truly wants to use her gift of massage to help others and improve their lives. It is so nice to find someone who cares and focuses on taking care of others rather than just going through the motions of a job! She listens to find out where the trouble points are and does a great job of working to improve them. Many thanks to her for her great work and being a great person!!

It can provide numerous benefits, such as relieving muscle aches and pains, reducing stress and anxiety, improving circulation, enhancing flexibility, and promoting faster recovery from injuries or surgeries.

At Solutions Chiropractic, we offer a range of massage techniques tailored to meet individual needs. Our skilled therapists are proficient in Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, sports massage, prenatal massage, and therapeutic massage. Each technique has unique characteristics and can address specific concerns, providing a customized and effective massage experience.

The duration of massage sessions can vary depending on individual preferences and needs. At Solutions Chiropractic, we offer massage sessions of different lengths, including 30 minutes, 60 minutes, and 90 minutes. During your initial consultation, you can discuss your goals and concerns with the therapist, who can recommend an appropriate session length to maximize the benefits for you.

Massage therapy is generally safe and suitable for most individuals. However, there may be certain medical conditions or situations where caution is advised or modifications are necessary. It is important to inform your massage therapist about any existing health conditions, injuries, or concerns you may have. They will take your medical history into account and adjust the massage techniques accordingly to ensure a safe and effective session.

The frequency of massage therapy sessions depends on various factors, including your specific needs, goals, and budget. Some individuals may benefit from weekly or bi-weekly sessions for chronic pain management or stress relief, while others may find monthly or occasional sessions sufficient for general well-being and relaxation. Your massage therapist can assess your situation and recommend an appropriate schedule based on your goals and preferences.

If we are working on the whole body, we will generally ask you to remove everything but feel free to keep your underwear on. You will be covered under a sheet except the areas we are working on. If you only want us to work on a specific area (for example, neck and shoulders), we would just have you remove your shirt and bra.
